which metal finishes does Teeshaa offer?
Four finishes cover most of the range: Champagne Gold, Brass Gold, Black and White. Pieces such as the Halo Crown Chandelier and the Alabaster Linea Pendant list them.
Some pieces carry a different set. Ten Halo enquiry pieces, among them the Halo Nile Chandelier S1 and the Halo Infinia Chandelier, list Matte White, Brushed Brass, Antique Brass, Champagne Gold, Matte Black and Polished Nickel. The Aura Wall Mount lists Brushed Brass, Antique Brass, Champagne Gold, Polished Nickel, Brushed Nickel, Matte Black and Polished Brass.
A few pieces list a set of their own. The Essenzo Dome Wall Sconce lists Satin Brass only, and the Essenzo Melange Table Lamp lists Antique-Burnished Brass, Bronze and Polished Nickel. The Essenzo Dome Table Lamp Style 4 adds Black Iron to the four standard finishes, and the Pebble Lamp lists Black and White. Always read the options on the page of the piece you want: it is the source of truth.
how does a metal finish look against warm alabaster light?
Alabaster glows from within, usually at 2700K, a warm yellowish white. Warm metals sit in the same colour family as the glow. Cool and neutral metals set up a contrast.
Gold and brass tend to look rich and continuous with the stone. Nickel reads silvery and slightly cooler beside warm light. Black gives a clear graphic edge to the stone. White is the quietest, especially against a white ceiling. If you choose 2000K or 2300K, everything warms further, and a cool silver can look more distinct. At 3000K the contrast softens.
gold, brass, black or white: how do you choose?
Start with the room, not the piece. Choose the finish that matches the strongest metal or colour already in the space, then check it against the light.
| finish | general character | pairs well with | listed on |
|---|---|---|---|
| Champagne Gold | Pale, soft gold | Cream and sand walls, light timber, soft furnishings | Most pieces, the ten Halo enquiry pieces and the Aura Wall Mount |
| Brass Gold | Deeper, yellower gold | Warm timber, terracotta, deep colour | Most pieces; not on the ten Halo enquiry pieces or the Aura Wall Mount |
| Black | Graphic, defined edge | Pale walls, stone floors, black window frames | Most pieces and the Pebble Lamp |
| White | Quiet, recedes | White ceilings, pale rooms, minimal spaces | Most pieces and the Pebble Lamp |
| Matte Black | Low-sheen black that reflects little light | Pale walls, stone floors, black window frames | Ten Halo enquiry pieces; Aura Wall Mount |
| Matte White | Low-sheen white that reflects little light | White ceilings, pale rooms, minimal spaces | Ten Halo enquiry pieces |
| Brushed Brass | Muted brass with a fine grain | Matte hardware, natural materials | Ten Halo enquiry pieces; Aura Wall Mount |
| Antique Brass | Darker, aged brass | Dark timber, traditional or layered rooms | Ten Halo enquiry pieces; Aura Wall Mount |
| Polished Nickel | Bright, mirror-like silver | Glass, grey stone and cool palettes | Ten Halo enquiry pieces; Aura Wall Mount; Essenzo Melange Table Lamp |
| Brushed Nickel | Softer, matte silver | Steel appliances, grey palettes | Aura Wall Mount |
The character column is general design guidance, not a Teeshaa specification. Polished Brass, Satin Brass, Bronze, Antique-Burnished Brass and Black Iron appear on single pieces and are not described here; see those product pages.
should the finish match the other metal in the room?
It does not have to match exactly, but it should belong to the same family. Repeat one finish across door handles, taps, curtain rails and the light, or let two finishes meet in clear proportions. Two golds that nearly match can look like an error.
Check the finish where it will be seen. A wall light sits at 150 to 170 cm from the floor in a living room or corridor, close to the eye, so its finish matters more than a chandelier's. At the bedside, wall lights sit at 100 to 120 cm, so match the nearby hardware. The wall sconce guide covers heights.
can you see a finish before ordering?
Trade members can request alabaster and finish samples against an active project. For other buyers, the studio can say what is possible for the piece you want, through the contact page.
Screens misrepresent metal. Compare the finish with the actual hardware in the room, in daylight and in the evening light of the space.
how Teeshaa fits a finish decision.
Teeshaa makes the metalwork in its own facilities in India, and the finish is chosen from the options listed on each product page. The alabaster chandeliers and alabaster wall lights pages show the forms, and the alabaster lighting guide maps the whole range.
Because custom-made and made-to-order pieces are not eligible for returns, exchanges or refunds, confirm the finish with the studio first. The terms are defined in the alabaster lighting glossary.
frequently asked questions.
Which metal finishes does Teeshaa offer on alabaster lights?
Most pieces list Champagne Gold, Brass Gold, Black and White. Ten Halo enquiry pieces list Matte White, Brushed Brass, Antique Brass, Champagne Gold, Matte Black and Polished Nickel, and the Aura Wall Mount adds Brushed Nickel and Polished Brass. Finishes vary by piece, so the product page is the source.
Which finish looks warmest with 2700K light?
The gold and brass finishes echo the yellow tone of 2700K light, so they usually read as the warmest and blend with the glow. Nickel stays cooler and silvery against warm light, while black and white stay neutral. A sample or a lit photograph is more reliable than a description.
Does the metal finish change the colour of the alabaster light?
Not directly, because the light comes through the stone. But the metal frames the stone, and a polished or gold surface can reflect warm light onto the wall or ceiling nearby. Black and white metal reflect less colour, so the stone's own clouding and veining stay the focus.
Can I see a finish before I order?
Trade members can request alabaster and finish samples against an active project. For other buyers, ask the studio through the contact page what can be shown for the piece you are considering. Colour on a screen differs from colour in a room, so confirm the finish against the actual hardware.
Should the metal finish match the door handles and taps?
It need not match exactly. Many designers repeat one finish family across a room, such as gold with brass, or black with black, and let one other metal appear in small amounts. Avoid placing two near-identical golds side by side, because small differences in tone become noticeable.
