why alabaster for a chandelier.

A chandelier is the one light in a room that is looked at as much as it is used. Crystal and glass answer that by sparkling; alabaster answers it by glowing. Light scatters inside the stone and leaves from the whole surface, so a ring reads as a continuous band of soft light with no lamp, no hot spot and no glare at eye level across the table.

The stone also keeps a room calm. Switched off, an alabaster ring is a pale sculptural object; switched on, its clouding and veining appear inside the light, and no two rings carry the same pattern. • Light. Integrated LED at 2700K on most pieces; the Aura Chandelier offers 2000K, 2300K or 3000K; the Halo Crown can take an LED strip or E27 lamps. Dimming is available on request.

If a ceiling fan shares the ceiling, hang the ring over the table and let the fan keep the centre of the room. For a long table, a linear piece lights the length more evenly than any ring.

What ceiling height do I need for an alabaster chandelier?

Can an alabaster chandelier be dimmed?

Yes. Should I choose LED strip or E27 bulbs for the Halo Crown?

The integrated LED strip gives the most even band of light around the ring and is the usual choice. E27 lamps let you change the bulb yourself and pick your own colour temperature, at the cost of slightly less even light. Both are offered at 2700K as standard; discuss dimming with either option.

How is the chandelier hung from a false ceiling?

The fixing must go through to the structural slab or a proper support, not the gypsum board alone. Teeshaa supplies the piece with the drop cut to your finished ceiling height and can place the driver remotely so it sits in the cove. Have your electrician confirm the anchor and the point before the ceiling is closed.
