A ring chandelier in Spanish alabaster does something a glass or metal ring cannot: the ring itself is the light, a continuous band of stone glowing from within. Teeshaa's Halo series covers single rings in four diameters, nested rings and horizontal compositions, all designed in Bangalore and made in our own facilities in India. The 60 cm Halo Crown and Halo Ring Style 1 are ready to order online; larger diameters and the large formats are made to order on enquiry. Every piece ships worldwide.

why alabaster for a ring chandelier.

A ring is the simplest form a chandelier can take, which means the material carries everything. In alabaster the light does not come from a lamp you can see. It passes through the stone, and the stone's clouding, veins and mineral density become the pattern of the light. From across a room the ring reads as one soft band; up close it is a landscape.

No two rings are the same. Every block of alabaster from the Aragon quarries differs, and we review each one unlit and lit before it is cut. For nested or paired rings, the parts are matched for colour, clouding and light transmission so the composition reads as one piece rather than a set of near misses.

The light is warm by default, 2700K, and alabaster takes dimming well. At low output the ring looks like a candle held inside stone, which is the setting most dining rooms end up using. Specify dimming at the time of order.

There are trade-offs. Alabaster is a soft gypsum stone and should be kept dry and dusted with a soft cloth, never wiped with household cleaners. It costs more than glass. The larger rings are made to order and take a few weeks. For a piece that will hang in one room for decades, we think those are fair terms.

choosing a ring chandelier.

  • Diameter over a table: one half to two thirds of the table's width. A 120 cm round table takes 60 to 80 cm; a 150 cm table takes 80 to 100 cm. Never wider than the table minus 30 cm.
  • Diameter in an open room: add the room's length and width in feet and read the sum as inches. A 4.5 by 5.5 m living room gives about 84 cm, so Medium 80 cm.
  • Drop: the underside of the ring 75 to 90 cm above a dining table, and at least 2.1 m above the floor where people walk. The wire is cut to your room, up to 183 cm total height.
  • Ceilings: Indian apartments are commonly 2.7 to 3.0 m with a 20 to 30 cm false ceiling. Measure the finished ceiling. Villas and double-height volumes at 5 m and above suit the nested or vertical formats.
  • Light source: Halo Crown is offered with an integrated LED strip for one continuous glow, or E27 holders for lamps you replace yourself. Ask for dimming at the time of order.
  • Finish: the metal canopy and fittings are a small part of the piece. Choose a finish that matches other metal in the room rather than one that announces itself.

the pieces.

The Halo Crown Chandelier is the reference piece: a single continuous ring on a 4 cm tube in 60, 80, 100 and 120 cm, hung on stainless wire with a transparent cable. The Small is ready to order; Medium, Large and XL are made to order. It suits round and square dining tables, living rooms and bedrooms.

The Halo Ring Chandelier Style 1 shares those four diameters, so the choice between them is one of form. Halo Ring Style 3 is a further variation, made to order on enquiry.

The Halo Infinia Chandelier nests rings inside one another in a 4 ft format. It is the choice for double-height living rooms, stairwells and foyers, where the piece is seen from a gallery above as well as from below.

The Vanta Halo Chandelier Horizontal runs an 80 cm line of lit stone rather than a circle, for long dining tables and kitchen counters where a round ring fights the geometry. The whole Halo series is listed with sizes and finishes.

specifying and ordering.

Pieces marked ready to order, such as the 60 cm Halo Crown and Halo Ring Style 1, can be bought online. Larger diameters, Halo Infinia, Vanta Halo and Style 3 are enquiry pieces: send the room dimensions, finished ceiling height and table size and we confirm the size, drop and lead time.

Finishes vary by piece. Halo Crown is offered in Champagne Gold, Brass Gold, Black and White; Infinia and Vanta in Matte White, Brushed Brass, Antique Brass, Champagne Gold and Matte Black. Light output is 2700K as standard, with dimming on request; drivers sit remote or in the canopy. The drop is cut to your room before dispatch.

Lead time is typically 3 to 4 weeks, and we ship worldwide. Architects and designers can request drawings, material samples and project pricing through the Trade Programme. For a ring beyond 120 cm or a composition drawn for one particular volume, see Bespoke.

frequently asked questions.

What sizes do Teeshaa ring chandeliers come in?

Halo Crown and Halo Ring Style 1 are made in four diameters: Small 60 cm, Medium 80 cm, Large 100 cm and XL 120 cm, on a 4 cm ring tube. The 60 cm size is ready to order online. The larger three are made to order and priced on enquiry. Halo Infinia is a 4 ft nested format; Vanta Halo is an 80 cm horizontal piece.

How is the drop height set?

Each ring hangs on stainless wire with a transparent cable, and the total height is cut to your room, up to 183 cm from ceiling to the underside of the ring. Tell us the finished ceiling height, including any false ceiling, and the table height, and the wire is set before the piece leaves the workshop.

LED strip or E27: which should I choose?

Both are offered on Halo Crown at 2700K. The integrated LED strip gives one continuous glow around the ring. E27 holders take standard lamps you can replace yourself. Most homes choose the strip for evenness; choose E27 if you want to change lamps over time. Dimming is available on request for either.

Will two rings look the same?

No two will be identical. Each ring is carved from Spanish alabaster, and every block has its own clouding and veining that shows when lit. For nested or paired rings we review the stone unlit and lit and match the parts for colour, clouding and light transmission, so the composition reads as one piece.

Can a ring chandelier hang in a stairwell or double-height space?

Yes. The wire is set to the drop you need, and in tall volumes the nested Halo Infinia or a vertical composition often suits better than a single flat ring. Keep the underside at least 2.1 m above any floor or landing people walk across, and plan access for occasional dusting.

For the full sizing method, with a table of diameters against table widths and room sizes, read the ring chandelier size guide. Rings are one form among several; the alabaster lighting hub and the alabaster chandelier page cover the rest.
