Alabaster Lighting Warranty and Returns Explained

the one-year warranty and the returns policy, explained plainly: what is covered, what is not, and the 48-hour rule.

  • Spanish alabaster, selected and matched
  • Designed in Bangalore, made in India
  • Finishes and drop set to the room
  • Typically 3 to 4 weeks, shipped worldwide

Teeshaa gives every alabaster light a one-year warranty against manufacturing defects, covering the whole light. Returns are accepted only if a piece arrives damaged or defective and is reported within 48 hours of delivery with photographs or videos. Made-to-order pieces cannot be returned, and natural variation in the stone is not a defect.

key facts.

  • The warranty is one year, covers manufacturing defects, and applies to the whole light.
  • It does not cover physical damage, water or humidity damage, or installation done by anyone other than Teeshaa's team.
  • Returns are accepted only for a piece that arrives damaged or has a manufacturing defect.
  • Damage or defects must be reported within 48 hours of delivery, with clear photographs or videos.
  • Custom-made, made-to-order and specially commissioned pieces are not eligible for returns, exchanges or refunds.
  • Natural variation in colour, clouding and veining is part of alabaster and is not treated as a defect.

what does the warranty cover?

The warranty covers manufacturing defects for one year, and it applies to the whole light, not only the stone. If something fails because of how the light was made, that is what the warranty is for.

The warranty wording appears on each product page. It exists because a decorative light combines stone, metalwork, an LED source and a driver, and a fault can sit in any of them. Questions about a specific claim go to info@teeshaa.in or the contact page.

what does the warranty not cover?

It does not cover physical damage, water or humidity damage, or damage caused by an installation done by anyone other than Teeshaa's team. These three exclusions are the ones to understand before you order.

Alabaster is a soft stone that is slightly soluble in water, so a knock, a splash or a damp position can harm it in ways that are not manufacturing defects. That is why Teeshaa advises keeping alabaster away from bath and shower splash zones and open balconies. Our bathroom guide shows where the line sits. Cleaning with a soft, dry or lightly damp cloth, as the care page describes, keeps you on the right side of the exclusions.

when can I return a piece?

You can return a piece only if it arrives damaged or has a manufacturing defect. You must report the problem within 48 hours of delivery and include clear photographs or videos.

The shipping policy asks you to check the package on arrival and report any visible damage within the same 48 hours, with supporting images. Do this before the piece is moved to its final position. Approved returns must come back in original condition and packaging, and Teeshaa may inspect the item before a refund or replacement is processed. The full wording is in the refund policy and the shipping policy.

why are made-to-order pieces not returnable?

Custom-made, made-to-order and specially commissioned pieces are not eligible for returns, exchanges or refunds, because they are made specifically for an order. The same 48-hour rule still applies to damage or a manufacturing defect on arrival.

Larger formats and some sizes are made to order on enquiry, typically in 3 to 4 weeks, so check size, drop and finish carefully before you confirm. Our page on made-to-order and ready-to-order lighting explains which pieces fall on which side.

is natural variation in the stone a defect?

No. Alabaster is natural, so colour, clouding and veining differ from block to block. The returns policy states that this variation is part of the material and is not treated as a defect.

Teeshaa reviews stone unlit and lit, and sections of multi-part pieces are matched for colour, clouding and transmission. Even so, a piece will not be a copy of a photograph, and a fresh vein or a patch of cloud is the stone doing what it does. The material page shows how much range to expect.

what happens with refunds and shipping charges?

Approved refunds go to the original payment method after Teeshaa inspects the item. Shipping and handling are non-refundable unless the return is due to a verified manufacturing defect or transit damage.

The policy also says Teeshaa is not responsible for damage from improper installation, misuse, mishandling or normal wear and tear after delivery. Placing an order means you accept the policy, so read it first.

frequently asked questions.

What warranty does Teeshaa offer on its lights?

Every Teeshaa light carries a one-year warranty against manufacturing defects, and it covers the whole light. It does not cover physical damage, water or humidity damage, or damage caused by an installation done by anyone other than Teeshaa's team. The warranty is stated on each product page.

Can I return an alabaster light I no longer want?

Teeshaa accepts returns only if a piece arrives damaged or has a manufacturing defect, reported within 48 hours of delivery with clear photographs or videos. A change of mind is not a ground for return. Custom-made, made-to-order and specially commissioned pieces are not eligible for returns, exchanges or refunds.

Is natural variation in alabaster a defect?

No. Clouding, veining and mineral inclusions differ from block to block, so no two pieces are the same, and the returns policy does not treat that natural variation as a defect. Teeshaa reviews stone unlit and lit and matches sections of multi-part pieces, but it will not look identical to a photograph.

Does using my own electrician affect the warranty?

You may use your own electrician. However, the warranty does not cover damage caused by an installation done by anyone other than Teeshaa's team, and the installation itself cannot be backed by Teeshaa. Ask the studio about installation before you order if you want the warranty to stay unaffected.

How are approved refunds paid?

Approved refunds go to the original payment method, within a reasonable time after Teeshaa inspects the item. Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to a verified manufacturing defect or damage in transit. Returned items should be in their original condition and packaging.
